I found the below images from book :

Genetics : A conceptual Approach by Benjamin A Pierce

Image 1: Shows the standard symbols used in pedigree chart

Image 2: Shows a pedigree chart which is somewhat similar to the gate question pedigree chart

Besides that

I went through a video on NPTEL course "Human Molecular Genetics" which is on pedigree analysis at this link :

http://nptel.ac.in/courses/102104052/5

Between minute 32 and 33 of the video professor says that the carriers in "x linked recessive condition" are denoted by a "dot within the circle".
We can challenge the question giving the reason that no clear indication is given if any of the females in the given pedigree are carriers thus X linked recessive condition was not indicative from the given pedigree.

I think these should make a strong case for review of Pedigree question and hold in favour of us because it is in the NPTEL cource lecture as well as a standard book.

1. Pedigree (question-45)  (Possible Ans : "X- linked recessive inheritance or Y linked" and "Y-linked only") (Can give upto 2.66 marks)
2. Zero order rate kinetics (question- 49) (Possible Ans : "100" and "10000") (Can give upto 2 marks)
3. Cytokinesis inhibitor (question -18)  (Possible Ans : "Cytochalasin D" and "Colchicine" ) (Can give upto 1.33 marks)

These 3 questions have possibility of giving a student 6 marks which can be really crucial.

Each of the 2 answers in the above question is proving to be right, thus all the students who have answered any of the 2 possible answers in the above questions should be given the benefit of doubt.

What is views from all of you guys, should we challenge all the 3 questions ?

I don't think you will, get it.
Usually the marks goes to those who have attempted the question in case of successful challenge.
If the Gate committee decides that the question is completely wrong and decides to award the marks to all students, then its a different case.

OK....but wat if I attempted it wrong....my answer is neither d correct answer according to key nor d real correct answer then?

there will be 2 options. Either they will make it a mear attempt or the can announce 2 answers as correct.

There are trucks and cars traveling in a single lane. The size of Truck is 10 m while a size of a car is 5 m. There should be 20 m gaps between each truck and 15 m gap in each car. Cars and Trucks can travel alternately at the speed of 36 km/h. How many vehicles can cross a bridge (nothing particular value given aboutto the bridge) in an hour?

with no information about  the bridge length, this question is incomplete....
What do you guys think about this question (Question number 63) ?Whether should be challenged or not?

Can you post the questions here? Discussion over each question would be quite productive.

36km/hr -  36000m
total length(cars and trucks and gaps) - 5 + 15 + 10 + 20 = 50
36000/50 = 720 car and trucks = 1440 vehicles(I marked it as 720!!)

I did the same..... But here we are considering the bridge as a point while the vehicles have a length....Does it make sense?

Another logic is what if the bridge length is >36 km? At this case no vehicle can completely use the bridge.....

Yes d thing is that we don't consider it as a bridge...we consider it as a man standing and counting vehicles....
