If you are a biotechnology graduate then you have the option of working in research, health care, industry etc.. If this last option appeals to you only then will medical coding work for you as a career option.
Remember that medical coding requires data analysis & codifying of patients records based on ICD-10 guidelines. This in itself has a learning curve that covers areas like evaluation and management coding, anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, CPT codes, HCPCS codes and more.
You also need to get certified by passing the CPC( Certification Professional Coder) exam.
