Every college has different criteria for admission.Some of the private colleges may ask for your NEET score like thapar university,patiala .If you are having PCM you can give JEE Exam after 10+2 . All IITs and NITs ask for JEE rank for admission in B.tech.
Some colleges also conduct their own entrance examination like GGSIPU,VIT, DY patil,SRM etc.But most of the colleges of biotechnology accept 10+2 marks for admission.It is always advisable to appear for these kind of entrance exams.
