Eligible and interested Indian citizen residing in UP. are invited for the purely temporary position in the CST-sponsored project entitled “Development of Novel Screening System Employing Cyanobacteria for Toxicity Studies of Metallic Nanoparticles”(Project No: CST/239) under Young Scientist Scheme tenable at:
Position- Research Assistant

Essential Qualification:
1St class M.Tech. in Biotechnology OR
1St class M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry Or
1st Class in B.Tech Biotechnology
Desirable:
Related experience in Nanoparticle Handling, Toxicity Assays,
Knowledge of Genomics and Proteomics, Basic Microbiological
techniques of microbe collection, isolation and purification
Job profile:
The Assistant engaged would undertake collection of cyanobacterial
Strains from different regions of Uttar Pradesh, Screening of strains
for its sensitivity and tolerance, detailed alterations in the
cyanobacterial strains at the genome and proteome levels.

DATE AND VENUE OF INTERVIEW: August 03/2015, 02.00 pm. in the Office of Head,
Dept of Bioengineering, Academic Block - 1, 2nd floor.
Reporting time for interested candidate is 01.00 pm
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. Upper age limit not exceeding 28 years for Research Assistant as on the 1St April, 2015.
2. Before the interview the candidate should submit a hard copy of the resume addressed to
the Principal Investigator with full particulars i.e. qualifications, experience, NOC from
last employer, publications, etc. along with originals as well as attested copies of
certificates of all passed examinations starting from matriculation, date of birth, east
certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) and experience certificate etc. Tentative mark sheets/
certificates and result awaited will not be considered. Candidates can also send their
resume and scanned documents at email alvina@iul.ac.in
3. All eligible candidates are requested to be present at venue on the date lhr before the
schedule time for necessary formalities.
4. Mode of selection: Through interview.
5. The decision of the selection Committee will be final. Mere fulfilling the essential
qualifications does not entitle any candidate for the post.
6. The duration of the project is for three years and the positions are purely temporary&
renewable on yearly basis based on performance till the termination of the project.
Further the above stipend is tentative and the same will be finally decided based on the
emoluments in the sponsored project.
7. Candidate who strictly fulfill the eligibility and posses the degree/mark sheet in the
aforesaid subjects only should turn up for walk-in/floating interview to avoid any
inconvenience.
8. No TA/DA will be admissible
