MS v/s MTech
#2
Hello Vinaya,

Cell Biology as a field of research is associated both with Biotechnology and Biological Sciences. Biological sciences indeed has close association/specificity towards cell biology as compared to Biotechnology (which rather aims at covering the entire spectrum of applied biology, with sound association with other disciplines like design, computer sciences, mechanics, physics, maths etc).

But it's not that one cannot pursue a career in Cell Biology after a degree in Biotechnology. As I have discussed earlier in my posts/suggestions to the netizens of BiotechnologyForums, "it's the project and internship profile during your academic life" that decides the fate of your career ahead.

For details about MTech Vs MS, you may refer the following article:

Hope it helps.

Best wishes

Sunil
