The pathway of Toxins in the body – Entry to Elimination
#6
The skin which acts as the barrier between the body and the environment is a quite challenging route for the toxicants to enter the body. The epidermal layer of cells, the hair follicles, oil gland and sweat gland present on the skin are the possible route of entry for a toxicant to reach the blood stream.
