RE: GATE BT 2016 - dipak0mukherjee - 04-03-2015 thanks a lot sir RE: GATE BT 2016 - shraddha - 04-18-2015 Hello to Sir.SUNIL NAGPAL I am a student of B.Tech biotech last semester I wanted to ask that in your one of the article you wrote B.tech Biotech Students are eligible for ICMR and can give the exam too but i have gone through the prospectus and there is no where written that b.tech students can also apply, only msc or equivalent is mentioned, i request you to guide me for CSIR too. RE: GATE BT 2016 - SunilNagpal - 04-19-2015 Hello Shraddha, B.Tech is most of the times considered equivalent to MSc. The time I appeared for CSIR in 2010, it was never mentioned whether BTech people are eligible or not. The only thing used to be mentioned was: MSc and equivalent. But I was very well awarded with the certificate of qualification after I cleared CSIR. I was just a final year Btech student like you when I had appeared. Hope it helps clear your confusion. If you have any other query, do let me know. Best wishes Sunil RE: GATE BT 2016 - shraddha - 05-02-2015 That was really helpful sir. i want to ask you one thing as well!!!! I want to appear for GATE 2016 Biotechnology exam for M.Tech. Am i eligible to appear or its too late for me to do M.tech. RE: GATE BT 2016 - Ankur - 06-05-2015 I think so you are eligible.. Although the Gate 2016 eligibility criteria is not out, this is the last year's criteria. These criteria do not change drastically year over year. There are more knowledgeable people on this forum, lets see what they have to say. Before i continue- I really respect your thought of even planning for higher studies despite a break of 5 years. According to Gate 2015 Before starting the application process, the candidate must ensure that he/she meets the eligibility criteria of GATE 2015 given in Table 4.1. So please study the following table carefully and make sure that your year of qualification is not later than what is specified. [attachment=248] Certificate from Principal Candidates who have to submit a certificate from their college Principal, as determined from Table 4.1, have to obtain one from his/her institution beforehand and upload the same during the online submission of the application form. Candidates with Backlogs Candidates, who have appeared in the final semester/year exam in 2014, but with a backlog (arrears/failed subjects) in any of the papers in their qualifying degree should 1. upload a copy of any one of the mark sheets of the final year, OR 2. have to obtain a declaration from their Principal along with the signature and seal beforehand and upload the same during the online submission of the application form. http://gate.iitk.ac.in/GATE2015/docs/ib.pdf RE: GATE BT 2016 - dipak0mukherjee - 06-10-2015 sir, which book should i follow for the aptitude part and the mathematics part ? GATE BT Mathematics and Aptitude - SunilNagpal - 06-10-2015 Hi, For mathematics, follow NCERT books of XI and XII thoroughly. For aptitude, you may refer: http://www.biotechnologyforums.com/thread-2329.html Mathematics at the level of probability, statistics, trigonometry and matrices should be covered well (for some concepts like eigen values; you might need the help of Google/Engineering mathematics books). Explore the internet for the basic concepts (which are not available in NCERTs) than following any other book. Hope it helps Best wishes, Sunil RE: GATE BT 2016 (Book for Bioprocess) - kunal bardiya - 06-11-2015 sir GATE BT hw should i study bioprocess eng. and which books should i refer for it. |
