can a person having PCB in 10+2 pursue Mtech after msc in biotechnology
This is a very sensitive topic ..

Yes I think you can join M.Tech by qualifying GATE-BT.

But when MSc students have an option to do PhD, then why go for M.Tech again. PhD will be my choice any day over M.Tech. In fact after completing M.Tech many students go for Phd too.

Jobs in the field of biotechnology are limited in India. A higher education degree like PhD is better, you will have a good chance to opt in for a teaching career, a possible job offer from company or even join govt. research institute.

Biotech should have a good scope in India in future, thanks to a big push from central govt and some states as well. But the fact of the matter is that in the current scenario, a lot of Bachelor and Masters have no jobs (or very low paying jobs).

Only students from IIT or from top notch institutes get descent offers (above 5 to 10 lakhs). And they are mostly hired right after B.Tech and M.Tech.
yes you are correct
As Ankur suggested, PhD is a way better option than M.Tech after MSc. You are eligible for MTech after MSc though.
