After 4 months I'm going to complete my studies (B.Sc. BIOINFORMATICS ) but now I'm confused. I want to know, is it better to do M.Sc. Bioinformatics after B.Sc.?? Is there any scope (jobs) in this field??
Hi Mausam,

First of all, yes there's a lot of scope in Bioinformatics (infact it's one of the most proliferating field of Biotechnology, and is accepted in most IT firms like IBM, Accenture, Wipro, TCS, Infosys etc). I would recommend doing MSc from a university/institute of repute. If in case you are going to do MSc from a 'not so high repute' institute, just make sure that after 1st year of MSc course, you do apply for GATE and DBT. Once you are through these exams you can easily grab a Phd/M.tech in IITs or IISc for getting a 'tagged' expertise in Bioinfo.
Bioinfo does have a huge scope, all you have to do is getting recognized with your profile.
Hope it helps.

Let me know if there's something else you need some help on.

Regards
