Some are saying no it's not compulsory whether some are saying yes it is..... Plzz somebody tell me exactly it is compulsory or not...!!!!

You don't need mathematics at 10 + 2 level for sitting in the exam. Although at the time of admission Eligibility criteria of only some IITs like IIT Bombay and IIT Roorkee requires Mathematics at 10 + 2 level.
