Is every mRNA that codes for a single protein called as monocistronic? Is there any post-transcriptional mechanism involved in the production of monocistronic mRNA?

Mainly monocistronic mRNA is present in eukaryotes ,& splicing is involved in removing intron part of RNA , its a way of post transcriptional modification. Its forms a single protein .
