I am a PCB student who has a taken a drop for giving medical entrance again. But with the occurrence of recent events (NEET) and less number of seats in MBBS I have applied to a couple of Universities for Btech. Biotechnology.
I have some questions regarding the subject and it's future prospects.
1) Since in my 10+2 I had not opted for maths instead taken Economics what will be the level of difficulty regarding the engineering aspects of Btech since the 1st year is common in all Btech streams?...And if I study Higher Secondary maths separately will it help me cope up with the advanced study?

2) I have applied to around 6 colleges and shortlisted 3 colleges. My first preference is Thapar University because it's a renowned uni and I have read good reviews about it. But the syllabus seemed a bit different from other college syllabuses (probably due to it's recent affiliation with TU, Dublin) And I would love to know if a PCB student like me with average scores would be able to handle the pressure there. Shout out to any ex Thapar student or anyone who is aware of the situation of Biotech students in Thapar :Smile

3) I have applied to DY Patil College of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Pune as well and I am a bit conflicted because they have a Btech Medical Biotechnology course there. And I want to specialise in that field but I am a bit sceptical about the course's  credentials and would love to get a review from someone who has already done a bachelor's in that subject or anyone who has some knowledge about it Smile I have seen the syllabus for Medical Biotechnology and absolutely fell in love with the program but since it's the only college offering this subject in India for Btech, And I want to pursue my Masters in a foreign country through GRE so I need to know if I'll e eligible for it if I do Medical Biotechnology.

4) What are the best prospects after doing Btech Biotechnology in foreign universities? And can I pursue a MBA after my masters and join a major Biotechnology company? Because I plan to work in a biotech firm as a R & D scientist or something along those lines

5) Last but not the least I would love to know about any summer internships that I can pursue during my undergraduate in India or in foreignSmile

I'll be thankful to anyone who answers me even a single one of those horrendously long questions!
