I would suggest you to go topic wise (following the syllabus in a structured way) and study as many mock tests and previous year papers as possible.

Studying on your own and following the syllabus topic-wise and ensuring that you study every previous year paper thoroughly will ensure that you qualify GATE BT.

1. Study the flow of metabolism cycles (questions related to the Reactants or products of one of the steps can be asked).

2. Study energy sheets of metabolism cycles (questions related to energy consumption and NADH/NADPH consumptions can be asked).

3. Study the enzymes used at various steps (names of enzymes for important steps like final or initial stages of cycle, can be asked).

Hope it helps
Thanks alot for your reply
Sir..

I had few queries related to Bioprocess as there's a topic named principle of reactor design..
So I would like to inquire that From which book should I go through this either Doran or Whittaker..
And which chapter from it would be including the theory as well as numericals related to this topic.. ?

If you have some sample papers..please do post them ,for Gate-17

Hi Ali,

You should follow Doran. It is a really good book for thorough understanding of the concepts. Its practice questions after each exercise will be of great help, apart from the questions at the end of each chapter.

As far as I remember out of my special attachment with Reactor engineering, it used to be the Chapter Number 13 of Doran and it went by the name of Reactor Engineering only (I guess). It should be sufficient for your practice of Reactor Design.

Sorry I don't keep sample papers. But the previous year papers and the exercise questions are more than enough for clearing the concepts and being comfortable with Bioprocess.

Hope it helps
