Hi Ronit,

IIT Bombay Biomedical is renowned for regular placements in IBM (R&D), TCS(R&D), P&G (R&D), Strand Genomics, Cognizant, INTAS and Mechanotronics. Average package is around 7-8 lpa.

IIT Delhi is famous for placements in Biocon, Wockhardt, Novozymes, Dr. Reddy, Strand Genomics, TCS (R&D). Average Package goes around 6-8 lakh.

IIT Kanpur is known for placements in TCS (R&D) and INTAS (as core).

All students (of all IITs) are allowed to appear for consultancy and non-core companies as well (like McKinsey, Bain, Delloitte etc). Average package being around 10-12 lpa.

Give me some time to fetch information about the placement trend of other IITs.
hi,
I want to know about placements for btech biotechnology students from private universities(NIIT UNIVERSITY, SHARDA etc) and payscale for freshers.
Hi,
Mostly the students are placed in IT firms or as sales executives. Payscale is generally Rs 15-20K per month. The competition for securing a job is real tough in private institutes.
hey.. this is the first time ever i'm asking a question this way... but i really need help.
i am confused between bsc. biotech(jamia) and bhms(ipu). both of them are equally good courses. i have to go or bhms counselling tomorrow. have always wanted to be a doctor but homoeopathy wasn't always in the plans.. what should i opt for?
If you wish to kickstart your earning career quickly, then go for BHMS (you will be studying details of human physiology and anatomy just like an MBBS course, it's the approach to address the diseases that's different between Allopathy and Naturopathy).

If you wish to enter into Pharma/R&D/Lab research then BSc would be apt (it's low paying for atleast 3-4 years after your degree).

Hope it helps

My personal verdict would be BHMS.

Best wishes

Sunil
n what if i furthur do msc and phd in biotechnology?? what can i do after bhms for furthur studies?
You'll have the option to pursue masters and doctorate in related fields like regenerative medicine, pediatrics, psychology and specific fields of homeopathy.
hey! thankyou so much for the suggestion.
i checked the seats available for bhms in ip(general), n they have already got filled.. guess now thers no option left but biotech. Sad
