What about that plasmid question. There is no xho1 site in MCS or any part of plasmid?

Sir plz ques no. 16
Question number 16 is about dy/dx=0 at X=0 and d2y/dx2 = 0?

I just took it like dy/dx being zero means the slope is 0 ie a horizontal line. So no matter where you move on X axis, y shall remain constant.

I have been out of touch with calculus, (and I haven't used d2y/dx2 = 0 info here), so I could be wrong conceptually...
Sunil sir....the solution I have figured out of ques 16 is y=x^3....nd it satisfies all d conditions.
Nd if y is constant i.e., y=1, then there is no point of giving y=f(x)
This is wat I thought.

Perfectly right, female non carrier thing is not needed here. Thanks for correcting me. Even if the first mother is a carrier, isn't there always a possibility to have carrier only female progenies? I went through a video on NPTEL course "Human Molecular Genetics" which is on pedigree analysis at this link :

Between minute 32 and 33 of the video professor says that the carriers in "x linked recessive condition" are denoted by a "dot within the circle". 
Can we challenge the question giving the reason that no clear indication is given if any of the females in the given pedigree are carriers thus X linked recessive condition was not indicative from the given pedigree. 

I think this reason should hold in favour of us because it is in the NPTEL cource lecture.

I also found a video and webpage at the below links explaining the same pedigree as in the gate question"

I think there is nothing wrong in giving it a try. Assuming there is a cost associated with each review, why don't you people team up and each one in the team asks for the review of a question (which are in the circle of doubt)..

Yes, it will universally be applied to everyone..
We have found 3 questions till now:

1. Pedigree (question-45)  (Possible Ans : "X- linked recessive inheritance or Y linked" and "Y-linked only") (Can give upto 2.66 marks)
2. Zero order rate kinetics (question- 49) (Possible Ans : "100" and "10000") (Can give upto 2 marks)
3. Cytokinesis inhibitor (question -18)  (Possible Ans : "Cytochalasin D" and "Colchicine" ) (Can give upto 1.33 marks)

These 3 questions have possibility of giving a student 6 marks which can be really crucial.

Each of the 2 answers in the above question is proving to be right, thus all the students who have answered any of the 2 possible answers in the above questions should be given the benefit of doubt.

What is views from all of you guys, should we challenge all the 3 questions ?

I think we should challenge the three questions. I personally haven't attempted the cytokinesis inhibitor question because of the confusion. Also, can all of you ask your friends or give an idea of the average marks they are getting with the present answer key?
