Can the point No. 1 and 2 mentioned in the image hold as valid argument.

Will it be worth challenging?
yes rahul your explanation is absolutely correct. y linked only the answer

If we could get some views from Sunil Sir, it would be really helpful.

* if the daughters are carriers then the representation of carrier will shown as circle half shaded
* x linked recessive is occurs in alternate generations but it is not given in the chart
*if it is x linked recessive  progeny half of the progeny will be affected....but it does not follow in the given chart
So, that answer must be Y LINKED ONLY

I think the answer given in ans. key is right...

Please consider my explanation in the below image.
Can anyone please report if they are interested in challenging the pedigree question and the mass percent question since the answer is given as 345 and many people like me have gotten it to be 115?

I am interested in challenging the Pedigree question, I am preparing a list of arguments to support my challenge, please let me know if you also have any arguments that can go in our favor.

First of all, the parent don't have 4 daughters they have 2 daughters and 2 affected sons ... Yess I agree with you. atleast one of the two daughters should get affected.. I also want the answer to be y linked only.. i just drew the possible outcomes according to answer key..

Sorry for my mistake, they have 2 daughters.

I am just wondering, if my arguments will hold enough to favor my challenge and will it be worth challenging.

Yess challenging this question is definitely worth it.. Even if you just consider the gametes that can be formed from those parents eg.

Xx * xY ---> Xx, XY, xx, xY

If we consider x recessive causes disease..

then they should have 1 carrier daughter, 1 healthy son, 1 affected daughter, and 1 affected son..

Correct me if i am wrong.
